By accessing or using On Hand, you agree to these terms and our privacy practices.

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction, to use On Hand.

You are responsible for the ingredients you select, the meals you prepare, and verifying that recipes are suitable for your dietary needs, preferences, and restrictions.

You are responsible for choosing recipients and sending unclaimed invitation links only to intended recipients. Anyone who receives an unclaimed link may attempt to claim it.

You retain responsibility for content you upload and must have the rights and permissions needed to store it with On Hand.

Do not upload unlawful, abusive, exploitative, or rights-infringing content. We may remove content or restrict access when needed to enforce these terms, protect people, or comply with law.

Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled.

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access to paid features will continue until the end of the current billing period.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features of the service at any time.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.

On Hand is provided on an 'as is' basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages arising from the use of the service.

Privacy Policy

We collect only the information reasonably necessary to provide, improve, secure, and support the service.

Information may include your account email address, saved recipes, profile preferences, support requests, subscription status, and usage analytics.

Private recipe photos are re-encoded before storage. Normal camera-orientation flags are applied, embedded metadata including location data is removed, and the uploaded original is not retained. Photos are stored for your account and are not included when recipes are shared or copied. Service providers and authorized personnel may process or access stored content as needed to operate, secure, support, or legally administer the service.

We use this information to provide features, personalize your experience, improve the service, manage subscriptions, protect against misuse, and respond to support requests.

We rely on trusted third-party providers for authentication and data storage, subscription billing, AI-powered features, and for hosting and delivery.

Device sharing uses your operating system and chosen messaging service. On Hand does not send SMS or control those external services. Shared recipes exclude owner-only photos, source attachments, personal notes, and version history.

We retain information for as long as necessary to operate the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect against misuse.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting support.

Important Disclaimers

On Hand uses artificial intelligence to generate meal ideas, recipes, and cooking guidance. AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or recommendations that are not suitable for every situation.

Always verify ingredient freshness, safe cooking temperatures, storage requirements, and food safety practices before preparing or consuming food.

While On Hand can consider dietary preferences and ingredient restrictions, we cannot guarantee that recipes are free from allergens, cross-contamination risks, or ingredients you wish to avoid.

Nutritional information, if provided, should be considered an estimate and not professional dietary or medical advice.
